December is a month for us all to enjoy the holiday spirit. No matter if you celebrate the birth of Christ or the Festival of Lights, everyone please remember the reason for the season.
I recently returned from a trip to Austria and Germany and was fortunate to visit the “woodcarver village” in Oberammergau. In addition to the spectacular wood carvings on display they also present the “Passion Play” every 10 years and have done so since 1634. I found it interesting that they only have only 120 woodcarvers in the village compared to the Charlotte Woodcarvers membership with nearly 160 members.

The 2019 Showcase of Woodcarvig will have more information shortly.

Please return for more details. The brochure is available at About/2019 Woodcarvers Showcase.
