The Magic Month of June
The month of June reminds us that the year is half over and we still have another half year to go. The items we procrastinated on doing in the first six months are now looking us in the eye. We need to finish up those items so we can get on with the next six months of “Carvings for the Show”. So, what I’m trying to say is, we have eight months to complete our carvings for the 2018 Showcase. Remember, the Show Theme is “Anything Nautical” and we have two new Prize Money Categories which are “Cottonwood Bark” and “Animals”. This is the Magic Month so get started on those carvings.
Our June classes are winding down and I want to thank Rod Gatlin, Bill McCaughey and Paul DesRosiers for teaching club classes.
I would like to thank all those that participated at the Matthews Farmers Market where carving techniques where demonstrated along with a nice display of completed carvings and plenty of conversations.
Be sure to check out the clubs Calendar for all information on upcoming club events and the latest on club news. Have fun carving and make that commitment to enter a carving or two for the 2018 Showcase.
Supporting your club by attending classes and meetings is fun and a tremendous learning experience. So let’s continue having that FUN…
