Greetings Fellow Carvers

Well the Show is over and I think all will agree that it was a tremendous success. Many thanks for a job well done to all who helped bring this Show to fruition. We could not have such a quality Show without the help and support of the club members and their friends and family who worked so tirelessly to make our Show successful. All of the feedback from carvers, vendors and the general public were positive concerning the change in venue this year and the quality of the carvings presented. Work has already begun to make next year’s Show even better. We had 140 carvers from 13 different states and Canada with 803 carvings. Is it possible that next year we could have over 150 carvers and 1,000 carvings? We’ll see.
The club will finish the year with a carving demonstration at the
Monroe Library on March 30, 2019. April 1, 2019 begins a new year for the Charlotte Woodcarvers Club and the new board members will be seated. In April we will begin with a carving program to enable the Boy Scouts to earn their Wood Carving Merit Badge. Other carvings demonstrations include the Matthews Farmer’s Market on May 18, 2019 and Oct. 5, 2019.
Any suggestions for future carving classes and/or seminars are greatly appreciated.
