Happy Independence Day
Hope everyone had a great 4th of July with fireworks and sparklers celebrating our 241st year since the adoption of the Declaration of Independence.
With July starting our second half of the year, it also happens to be the first of several hottest months of the year. With this weather being so hot and humid, it will give you time to stay inside and sharpen those carving skills and give you the opportunity to finish that carving for the clubs upcoming show.
What a great week’s vacation I had down at Litchfield Beach, SC. Most every day the temperatures were in the low 80’s and the humidity was very low. Felt like fall weather. No, I didn’t carve this week as I spent the week with my wife Pat and her sister & husband. We checked out several great places to eat and never came home hungry…….. We even went out to get a Banana Split as they were half price so we split one. I am looking forward to more weeks at the beach in August, September and November. Maybe I will carve something then. MAYBE!!!
Check out the clubs calendar for all information on upcoming club events and the latest on club news. Have fun carving!!!
Support our club by attending club meetings at Carmel Presbyterian Church or at Woodcraft Store. Meetings can be fun with a tremendous learning experience. So let’s continue having FUN.
